In 2020, Tower Passive House- the pioneer NZE build of the Tower collection - was honored as a George Matsumoto Prize Recipient by NCModernist.
Designed by REdesign.build & Will Alphin, Tower Passive took home 3rd place in the People’s Choice Awards. The build was recognized for its excellence in Modernist Residential Design, alongside only five other builds selected in 2020.

WINNING COLLECTION
The George Matsumoto Prize is North Carolina’s highest honor exclusively for Modernist residential architecture.
The prize is awarded by a jury of internationally-known architects and experts, as well as online public voting.
The Matsumoto Prize, established in 2012 in recognition of one of the founding faculty members of North Carolina State University’s College of Design, is awarded to an exceptional example of NC modernist design. Matsumoto created some of NC’s most iconic examples of modernist design, and his namesake design celebrates that legacy.
